ASPIDOSPERMA
It is an evergreen tree up to 33 m in height. Stem erect with wide- spreading crown. It is indigenous to dry Central and Western districts of Argentina.
A homoeopathic tincture is made from the bark. It is covered by Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of India. It was proved and introduced by Dr. Hale and Clarke.
It helps in removing temporary obstruction to the oxidation of the blood by stimulating respiratory centres increasing oxidation and excretion of carbonic acid. It is also used in pulmonary stenosis, thrombosis of pulmonary artery and uraemic dyspnoea.
It is an effective remedy in many cases of asthma. It stimulates the respiration centres and increases oxygen in the blood. Cardiac asthma. Want of breath during exertion is the guiding symptoms. Dr. Hale regards it as the Digitallis for the lungs.
Recommeded dose:- Q/1x and higher.
